Gas Tax Increase Goes Into Effect On Friday In Missouri

(Jefferson City) Missouri’s gas tax will increase for the first time in 25 years on Friday.
The tax will jump two-and-a-half cents per gallon.
There will be additional incremental increases every July 1st until it reaches a 12-and-a-half cent total increase in 2025.
The additional funds will be used to maintain and upgrade the state’s roads and bridges.
