Gateway Grizzlies baseball will have its 2020 season delayed.

The Frontier League announced Wednesday that they would be postponing the start of the upcoming season from its initial date of May 14th until further notice.

A statement from Commissioner Bill Lee said the league’s annual tryout camp and draft set for April 27th and 28th in Ohio have been pushed back as well.

The Grizzlies were slated to host the Evansville Otters on opening day at GCS Credit Union Ballpark in Sauget, Illinois.

There is no preliminary date set at this time for the Frontier League to begin play.
