(Festus) The 33rd annual George Portz Traditional Music Festival will be returning in September. There were some questions if the music festival would continue after George passed away in January. George’s son, Jason Portz, says the music will not stop and they will be happy to return to Festus next month.
Portz says many of the bands will be returning, and some new acts as well.
The George Portz Traditional Music Festival will be held on Saturday, September 23rd, and Sunday the 24th from noon until 6 both days at Larry G. Crites Memorial Park. Admission is $12 per day and advance tickets are $20 for both days. For more information on tickets, and vendor opportunities go to George Portz TMF dot com.
