Gibson Named New Head Coach of Potosi Girls Basketball

(Potosi, Mo.) The Potosi Trojans have named Jeff Gibson as the school’s new girls basketball head coach.

He currently serves as the high school’s assistant principal and has been in that position for the past four years.

As a native of the area and a graduate of Potosi High School, Gibson says it’s an honor to take over the Lady Trojans basketball program.

Gibson had been an assistant coach with the West County JV girls basketball team for over a decade before he got the opportunity to become the Potosi girls head coach.

He says he learned a lot in his time coaching the Lady Bulldogs.

The Lady Trojans have been a competitive team in the MAAA in recent years but have not finished above .500 since 2015.

Gibson tells Potosi fans they can expect to see an aggressive and hard working team.

Gibson replaces Matt Bradley who was in his third stint as the Potosi girls basketball head coach and led the Lady Trojans to a 13-14 record last year.
