(Arnold) The recently formed Jefferson County Tourism Commission is hoping to hit the ground running soon. Scott Seek is the President of the Tourism board. He says they were able to get some help from the municipal tourism commissions the Jefferson County Growth Association, which will lead to bigger things.
Seek says promoting the county properly will attract more visitors to visit the local restaurants and stay overnight.
Seek says they are planning to work with the cities of Arnold, Festus, Pevely, and the county to expand the city-wide bed tax or tourism tax to a county tax. You can find more information on the Jefferson County Tourism Commission at JCGA MO dot org.
