Governor Parson on Events in Washington DC

(Jefferson City) Governor Mike Parson took the oath office today to serve as the 57th governor of Missouri. Following the ceremonies, he was asked about the events in Washington DC and the possibilities of similar gatherings occurring at state capitols around the country. Parson acknowledged that it was a possibility, but said the state is prepared.

Parson addressed the actions taken by the rioters, saying they must be held accountable for their actions.

The Governor made it a point to focus on Missouri and the Bicentennial celebration.
