Governor Parson Talks Medicaid Expansion

(Jefferson City) Missourians voted yes to Amendment 2 in August. The amendment expanded Medicaid coverage so more Missourians could have medical coverage. Governor Mike Parson and the Missouri Congress have to find a way to implement the new program. Parson said they have already started working on the subject.
Covid-19 created more problems, so Parson said steps are being taken to make sure everything is in order.
Parson explained the number of people that could be eligible for medical coverage because of the expansion.
Amendment 2 passed by a vote of 53.3% to 46.7% in the August 4th 2020 primary election.
