Governor Parson Visits Bonne Terre Hospital

(Bonne Terre) Governor Mike Parson visited Parkland Health Center in Bonne Terre Wednesday afternoon.

He signed a new bill into law while he was there.

The bill is supposed to improve funding and resources for hospitals in rural Missouri.

The governor says the bill is a great opportunity to build on the investments Missouri has made into healthcare.

Representative Mike Henderson was a sponsor of this now new law.

Governor Parson also has a firsthand understanding of the need for healthcare in rural Missouri.

The new law should help small, rural hospitals keep their doors open.
