Governor To Expand Social Distancing Order

(Jefferson City) Missouri Governor Mike Parson plans to expand the statewide social distancing order and rule limiting gatherings to no more than 10 people.

Parson told reporters, “I think it’s just a matter of where we move that timeframe to. I’m thinking we’re at least 30 to 60 days away from any kind of lifting any orders, but we’re evaluating that daily.”

The current order is set to expire April 6th.

The governor also announced a waiver that would allow licensed doctors from other states to assist Missourians during the COVID-19 crisis.

State health officials say there are one-thousand-31 confirmed coronavirus cases in Missouri and 13 deaths.
