Grandview Girls Basketball Succeeding Despite Challenging Schedule

(HILLSBORO) The Grandview girls basketball team has been deceptively good this season despite its 5-4 record. Head coach Steve Noblitt says that the Lady Eagles have faced and lost to some of the premier programs in the state.

Not to mention as well that Grandview lost to a Steelville team that is 7-2 this year who beat Central and just finished 2nd in the vaunted Central Christmas Tournament just a few days ago.

As for player-specific praise, Coach Noblitt highlights his seniors beginning with Sarra Faust.

And then there is one more player for Grandview, a freshman forward in Anna Belle Wakeland.

Wakeland is averaging 7 points and 6 rebounds as a freshman for the Lady Eagles. Grandview is hosting Valle Catholic tomorrow at 7 p.m. and then next week will participate in the Bourbon Tournament beginning on Tuesday against Bourbon.
