Grandview greets red-hot Herky in Jefferson County Baseball on KJFF

(Dittmer) The Herculaneum Blackcats will look to stay hot when they visit the Grandview Eagles on Jefferson County Baseball Wednesday on KJFF.

After a slow start to 2021, the Blackcats closed strong by winning 11 of their final 16 games.

It appears Herculaneum is headed down the same path this season.

The pitching of junior Dylan Black and the hitting of senior Cody Gibson are just some of the elements that have helped the Cats win seven of their last 10 games to after starting 1-4-1.

Herky head coach Ryan Dickerman says his group has always need a little time to stretch their wings before they could truly fly.

While seniors Chase Wilson and Eric O’Brien have hit the ball well this season, the Eagles have only won once in 11 games.

Herculaneum hopes to come away with another win when they visit Grandview Wednesday afternoon.

Coverage of Jefferson County Baseball begins with the Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show at 4:15 on AM 1400 KJFF.
