Grandview softball elevates former player, assistant coach Dugan to head job

Grandview High School in Hillsboro has announced the hiring of former assistant coach Ann Dugan as the new head coach of Eagles softball.

Dugan is an alumni of Grandview.

She says she enjoys continuing to work around the program.

Dugan says working alongside former head coach Don Jeffries, who also is the athletic director at Grandview, makes the change easier for her and the players.

On top of their work on the diamond, Grandview has been named an Academic All-State team for spring softball each of the last 2 years.

Dugan says she wants to continue to see her players succeed in the classroom and elsewhere in athletics.

While Grandview did not have a season this past spring due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Eagles went 10-8 in 2019.
