(HILLSBORO) The Grandview softball Eagles tied the mark for the most wins in the program’s history with 10 this past season under 1st-year head coach Don Jeffries.

The year started out with Korey Dear stepping down as the Eagles head coach to take care of her newborn. As Grandview Athletic Director, Jeffries stepped in to coach the team and felt privileged to do so.

A standout for the Eagles this year was freshman catcher Natalee Moore. Not only did Moore earn Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Athlete of the Week honors earlier this year, but she also finished first in the greater St. Louis area in triples with 7 and RBI’s with 43.

Jeffries talks about Senior Day for Alyssa Kohl, Katie Huskey, and Kayla Norris.

The Grandview Eagles had their season end at the hands of Valle Catholic in the opening round of the Class 1 District 5 tournament on Monday. Their overall record was 10-8.
