(HILLSBORO) The Grandview football program did not field a varsity team last season in large part to a lack of students interested in playing. The Eagles brought in former North County head coach Dave Dallas last year to refuel interest and rebuild the program by leading a junior varsity team. The JV Eagles won seven games and lost two.

Now the varsity program is back and coach Dallas says it’s been a team effort by his coaching staff.

Coach Dallas used the JV season to not only help re-establish the varsity program this year but to ingrain in the players an attitude about which to play the game of football.

With the varsity season a month and a half away, coach Dallas likes the direction this team is going.

The Grandview Eagles kick off the 2018 football season at home against Scott City on August 24th.
