Grandview volleyball brings back most of 2019 squad

(Hillsboro) Volleyball in 2020 will look very familiar for the Grandview Eagles.

Grandview reached the Class 2 District 4 semifinals and won 12 matches last season and only lost one senior off 2019’s roster.

And even with outside hitter Hailey Harlow gone, head coach Madeline Rotter says there’s plenty of versatile players on her squad, like senior Lanie Dierker.

Rotter also says 6-foot sophomore middle blocker Anna Belle Wakeland could be a new impact player.

But if the Eagles are going to improve on last season, Rotter says it will come down to a better mental approach to the game.

Grandview will get the 2020 volleyball season underway at Windsor Tuesday evening and will next play September 8th at Valley of Caledonia.
