Grandview’s Natalee Moore Bats Her Way to Spring Dream Team

(Dittmer) Grandview junior Natalee Moore is making her mark as one of the best hitters in the area. Her dominance at the plate led area coaches to select her as part of the 2021 Spring Dream Team for Softball. The season didn’t go the way that Moore and the Eagles intended, but Moore says that there could be improvements next season.

Moore was a nightmare for pitchers all season long. If she made contact with the ball, the result would most likely be a base hit in the gap or a dinger over the fence. Moore hit .714 with an On-Base Percentage of .758. She shared her process of locating pitches at the plate.

As a senior next year, Moore is going to have to step up in a leadership role for her team. She says she is prepared and is already working on some aspects of her game to help her team.

While personal accolades are always nice to acknowledge, but for Moore, her favorite part of the season is watching her teammates make plays and see their improvement on the diamond.

Alongside being a Dream Team Athlete for the second time in her high school career. Moore was 1st team all-district and all-region, 2nd team all-state, and academic all-state.
