Grant Money To Help St. Francois County

(St. Francois County) With the infusion of 13-million dollars to St. Francois County from the America Rescue Plan Act, the county commission is responsible for its distribution. Presiding Commissioner Harold Gallaher says the first awards have been made for the federal funding.

With the additional reporting and paperwork, a grant coordinator for St. Francois County was appointed.

Five years ago, St. Francois County had six grants worth 400-thousand dollars. Today, there are 30 grants valued at more than 6-million dollars.
