Ste. Gen’s Gross And Myracle Capture First At Tournament, Earn J-98’s Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Athlete Of The Week Award

(STE GENEVIEVE, Mo.) – We have co-winners of the J-98 Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Play It Forward Athlete of the Week Award, as a pair of Ste. Genevieve Dragons girls wrestlers are taking home the crown.

At the Wonder Woman Tournament at Battle High School this past week, junior Kaylee Gross and sophomore Maggie Myracle both captured first place in their respective weight classes.

With 75 teams and over 500 girls present at the big tournament in Columbia, head coach Jared Bonnell couldn’t be more proud of Gross and Myracle.

It was a third place finish at state last year for Myracle as a freshman in the 187-pound weight division.

She remains in the same division this year.

Bonnell tells us about Myracle.

For Gross, a runner up performance at the state level as a sophomore at the 152-pound weight class actually saw her move up to 166 this year.

She pinned all five of her opponents at the Wonder Woman Tournament, including last year’s runner up in the 166-pound weight division in Josette Partney from Lafayette.

Bonnell talks about the performance of Gross.

As part of the Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Athlete of the Week award, Kaylee Gross and Maggie Myracle will receive a t-shirt, a certificate, and the Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy will donate $25 to a non-profit of their choice.
