Groundbreaking Friday for Shepherd Mountain Bike Park in Arcadia Valley

(Ironton) The conversion begins Friday to turn Shepherd Mountain in Ironton into a mountain bike park.
Connie Reed is the administrative director for the Iron County Economic Partnership.
She says they will have a groundbreaking ceremony Friday morning at 11 at the base of Shepherd Mountain on Highway 21.
We asked Reed if she believes this bike park will boost the economy for Iron County.
The 600-foot Shepherd Mountain is one of the highest mountains in the St. Francois Mountain Range, and once complete, Shepherd Mountain Bike Park will have twice the elevation of the most popular downhill park in Arkansas.
