(Jefferson County) A group of concerned citizens attended the Jefferson County Health Department’s Tuesday night meeting to protest the possible countywide mandate of the wearing of masks in public.

Jefferson County Health Department Director Kelly Vollmar says around 50 people showed up for the meeting.

Vollmar adds that she welcomes any input from county residents and they have received a lot of feedback.

In regards to the decision of a countywide mandate of the wearing of masks in public, the health department board has tabled that discussion until next week.
