(FESTUS) It’s a special night at Festus High School Saturday night as the Tigers will be inducting former teacher, Major Kevin Kinder, into their Hall of Fame and then taking on the Hillsboro Hawks.

Kinder was instrumental in beginning Festus’ wrestling program a few years back and even coached some middle school sports. The approximate time of his induction ceremony will be around 6:40, right before the boy’s game.

The Hawks are 18-4 this season, have won 10 straight, and currently sit atop the Large Schools Conference standings at 2-0. Festus is on a four-game winning streak and Hillsboro head coach Dan Johnson knows that it’s because the Tigers have some offensive weapons.

Festus head coach Jason Therrell says that his guys must be good in every facet of the game if they stand a chance.

The Tigers are looking to get their 16th victory of the season and improve to 3-1 in the conference. Tip-off and coverage of Hillsboro and Festus begins Saturday at 7 p.m. on AM 1400 KJFF.
