Health Department and COMTREA Scheduled to Have Community COVID-19 Distribution Clinics this Week

(Jefferson County) The Jefferson County Health Department (JCHD) will receive their first 250 doses of Moderna vaccine this week thanks to redistribution agreements with local partners including Mercy Hospital Jefferson and COMTREA.

Health Department Director Kelly Vollmar says she’s glad to finally have some resources so that the can play their part in distributing the vaccine.

Vollmar says the JCHD will begin implementing their community distribution plan in the middle of this week.

Individuals interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine are encouraged to complete the communications survey which can be found on the health department website.

JCHD will utilize those survey responses by state ordered tier to reach out to residents for appointments.

Once again, two community clinics are planned for this week by appointment only at the JCHD High Ridge Office.

Those clinics will be on Wednesday from 10am until 4:30pm and Thursday from 12:30pm until 7pm.

COMTREA Health Center has also received shipments of the Moderna vaccine and will have a vaccination clinic on Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crystal City.

COMTREA staff will be calling individuals who are eligible and who filled out an inquiry form to schedule appointments on receiving the vaccine.
