Health Department Reports Good news in Regards to COVID Cases in Jefferson County

(Jefferson County) While coronavirus cases remain prevalent in Jefferson County there is good news with the latest health update from the Jefferson County Health Department (JCHD).
According to JCHD Director Kelley Vollmar, COVID cases are on the decline overall in the county.
Even with the numbers on the decrease, Vollmar says the county still remains in “red status” in the color guidance indicators.
On Wednesday, the Jefferson County Health Department reported 51 new cases of Covid-19 in the county, bringing the total number of positive cases to 31,828 since March of last year.
The current active cases is 665, and there have been 320 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
