(HERCULANEUM, Mo.) It was a doubleheader split in high school basketball action on KJFF Friday night at Herculaneum High School as the Blackcats hosted the Jefferson Blue Jays.

Fischer finished with 12 points on the night. For the Blue Jays, it was Hanna Floyd leading the way with 14 points while Heidi Hearst added 12 points in the loss. Jefferson led for the majority of the game coming out with intense nergy at the start.+++

With the win, Herculaneum improves to an impressive 16-1 on the season with a 2-1 record in a conference play. Meanwhile, the Blue Jays fall to 7-10 on the year with a record of 0-1 in conference.+++
Game two of the night saw the boys take the floor and this time it was the Jefferson Blue Jays coming out victorious with a 67-57 win over the Herculaneum Blackcats.+++
The game was tight throughout the first half with the two teams knotted up at 28 at halftime. However, it was in the third quarter that the Blue Jays were able to separate themselves from the Blackcats, and reached their largest lead of the night in the fourth quarter thanks to the play of junior Easton Null…+++
Null would finish with a game high 26 points on the night, while senior forward Dakota Jakoubek grabbed 10 rebounds and added 10 points unofficially to lead the Jefferson attack. Herculaneum was unable to amount the comeback and the Blue Jays improved to 12-6 with the win and 2-0 in conference while the Blackcats fall to 5-11 and 1-1.+++
