(HERCULANEUM) The Herculaneum baseball team enjoyed a turn-around 2017 campaign under 7th year head coach Zac Bone by going 14-4-1 before losing to Hancock in the Class 3 District 4 tournament. The year prior, the Blackcats only won 6 games.

Coach Bone gives credit to last season’s success to seniors Austin Bearden, Greg Garrett and Iann Wisely, who stayed committed to the program. He also says there’s a lot of buzz surrounding this year’s squad, which returns 16 players.

Coach Bone knows with way last year went, Herky won’t be taken lightly this time around.

Returning seniors for Herculaneum baseball include Gavin Turley and Drake Byers. The Blackcats open the 2018 campaign hosting Charleston Friday the 23rd at 4 pm.
