(HERCULANEUM) Herculaneum cross country will be entering 2019 sans Nautica Stricklin, a four-time All-State runner, but graced again with three-time All-State runner, Jonathon Coffman, and other seniors in Kyle Vinyard and Matt Bartosch.

Kyle Davis returns for his 8th year as the head coach. He says that there are historical implications for Coffman in 2019.

Coach Davis sings the praises of Coffman as well as the other seniors, Vinyard and Bartosch.

With Nautica graduating on the girl’s side, there’s a new set of seniors.

Coach Davis also mentioned junior Laura Maddox, who he believes will be the top runner for the girls this year.

There’s a pretty cool race this season that both the varsity and junior varsity boys and girls will get to run in.

That race is called the Fort Zumwalt North Twilight Invitational and it’s the only night race in the entire St. Louis area. It will take place at Pheasant Run Golf Course in O’Fallon. Also, MO Mile Split has released its preseason rankings and has the Herculaneum boys team as the 6th best in Class 3.
