Herculaneum Girls Beat Fox 65-40

(HERCULANEUM)    In a game heard Tuesday night on AM 1400 KJFF and MyMoInfo.com, the Herculaneum Lady Blackcats used a tough full court press to throw Fox off their game and win 65-40. Herculaneum went up 20-8 at the end of the first quarter. Herky led at the half 34-16, they had a 46-29 lead at the end of three quarters.

Leading the way for Herculaneum was Amia Moore and Jillin Jarvis who both had 13 points. Herculaneum head coach Riley Blair wanted his team to get back on track after losing to St. Vincent on Monday. Blair says it was the sticky press that made the difference in the game.

For Fox, the Lady Warriors were led in scoring by Angelina Friedman who scored 12 points. Fox slips to 8-9 on the season and they willl host Hazelwood West on Friday. For Herculaneum, they are now 12-10 and they host Crystal City Friday. It will be “Senior Night” for the Herculaneum boys and girls teams.
