Herculaneum High Getting New Gym and Artificial Turf for Football Field

(HERCULANEUM) Excavation work is underway for the new gymnasium at Herculaneum High School and work will begin the day after graduation on the installation of a new artificial turf football field at Dugan Memorial Stadium.
Dr. Clint Freeman, Superintendent of the Dunklin R-5 School District. Freeman says during the recent school board meeting, the board voted to move forward with the project.
Freeman says graduation is set for May 20th with the last day of school in the Dunklin set for May 24th with an “early out”.
According to Freeman, the field installation work will be quite the project.
As of now the first home football game is scheduled for August 30th vs Windsor.
