Herculaneum port set for big development

(Herculaneum) This past week a major stepping stone for further development of the Jefferson County Port in Herculaneum. State Representative Becky Ruth of Festus is the House Transporation Committee Chair. She says the news begins in the south.
Ruth says American Patriot Holdings has developed a new shipping vessel with a lot of impressive features to make travel along the Mississippi and Missouri rivers easier and safer.
The Herculaneum port will become one of the hubs for shipping in and out of Missouri.
If the project moves forward, phase one construction is expected to take as little as two years. The Jefferson County Port Authority was instrumental in getting this agreement in place.
