Herky Blackcat, Conference MVP Paige Fowler and Company Determined to Bring District Title Back to Herculaneum

(HERCULANEUM) The Herculaneum Lady Blackcats have 2018-19 Jefferson County Small Schools Conference Most Valuable Player Paige Fowler returning for her junior campaign. Last season, Fowler averaged 15 points and 8 rebounds a game to help lead Herky to a 17-10 record.

Going into this year, 9th-year Blackcats Head Coach Riley Blair says that Fowler has a target on her back and rightfully so.

Coach Blair is also high on senior and 4-year starting point guard Taylor Metcalf.

Metcalf and Fowler’s supporting cast isn’t so bad either as Coach Blair has seen a drive for excellence since Day 1 of the offseason.

The Herculaneum Lady Blackcats tip-off the 2019-2020 season on Monday at home against Windsor at 7 and will then follow that up with a game on Wednesday at home against Ste. Genevieve at 5:30.
