(Cadet) A thriller in Cadet Tuesday night ended in favor of Herculaneum. The Blackcats came from behind to defeat Kingston, 64-60, on J98.

Kingston opened the game with a 10-0 run and led 14-8 after one quarter…

 

Herky stuck around but Kingston went into the break with a 28-24 lead. The Cougars scored the first four points of the second half but Herky rebounded with a 9-0 run to take their first lead of the game in a back and forth third quarter…

 

Blackcat Ayden Hodges picked off a pass in the final seconds of quarter three to give Herky the lead…

 

Herky held a five point lead at the start of the fourth but Kingston refused to go away…

 

Kingston junior Cody Yates scored 27 points. His fifth dunk of the season tied up the game…

 

Though Herky controlled the game from that point on and hit some clutch free throws to seal the victory…

 

Blackcat senior Gabe Watkins was the Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game with 27 points. Dylan Jarvis added 11 points. Herky coach Jason Jarvis was proud of his guys for finishing the job…

 

Kingston seniors Collin Sumpter and Corey Kemper scored 13 and 10 points, respectively. Herculaneum improves to 5-0 on the year. Kingston falls to 5-2.
