High Ridge accident leaves three teenagers injured

A single-vehicle accident sent three people to the hospital yesterday afternoon. The Highway Patrol reports that 19-year-old High Ridge resident Lillian Stuerman was traveling southbound on West Four Ridge Road in her Chrysler Pacifica, north of Hope Lane, when she failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the right side of the road, striking a tree. Stuerman was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South with Moderate injuries. One of her passengers, a 17-year-old juvenile, was taken by ambulance to Children’s Hospital with serious injuries, while her other passenger, 18-year-old High Ridge resident Alexia Short, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South with moderate injuries. None of the people in this accident were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, which happened at 4:25 pm on Thursday.
