High Ridge Man Arrested in Connection to Shooting, Killing of a 17-Year-Old Friday Night
(High Ridge) A High Ridge man was arrested late Friday night after he allegedly shot and killed a 17-year-old.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies responded in reference to the shooting around 11 pm Friday to a residence in the area of Summerville Drive and Woburn Drive in the Cape Town Village near High Ridge.
When they arrived they located the victim, Dominic Willliams-Wood, who had been shot in the right side of his body and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Sheriff’s office spokesman Grant Bissell says the shooting stems from a confrontation at a restaurant in Fenton.
After leaving the restaurant and heading back their residence, and with Williams-Wood following the couple, the boyfriend made a few phone calls to a man who was later identified as 30-year-old Cartez McKire Junior.
McKire Jr., who is a previous convicted felon, has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action.
He is currently being held at the Jefferson county Jail on a no bond warrant.
