High Ridge Man Scammed Out of Almost $25,000

(Jefferson County) The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to be mindful of who they give their personal information to after a High Ridge man was scammed out of almost $25,000 on July 14th.

Grant Bissell is the Public Safety Information Coordinator for the sheriff’s office.

He says the victim was taken advantage of through a phone scam regarding expired computer software.

Bissell goes over what to do to avoid being a victim of scammers.
