Highway Patrol Marine Operations offering vessel safety inspections

(Jefferson County) The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s marine operations will be hosting free vessel safety inspection sites on Saturday from 10am until 2pm.

Inspection sites include Troop C Headquarters in Weldon Spring, and near the boat ramp at George Winter Park in Fenton.

Corporal Logan Bolton says the purpose of these inspections is to make sure people have the proper equipment, not to issue citations.

There is no need to call or make an appointment to have your vessel checked.

In addition, The patrol is offering a Boater Safety Course at its Troop C Headquarters on Saturday, May 14th.

The class is open to the public and runs from 8am until 4pm.
