(Jefferson County) Troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol were kept busy all day Wednesday responding to multiple vehicle crashes caused by the winter weather.

Corporal Juston Wheetley with the highway patrol says road conditions weren’t as bad in Jefferson County compared to other locations across the state.

Corporal Wheetley has some tips for those motorists that have to be out driving in the winter weather.

Missouri State Troopers in Troop C, which covers 11 counties across east and southeast Missouri, responded to 310 calls for service on Wednesday which included 55 stranded motorists, 72 crashes, 7 injuries and no fatalities.
