Highway Patrol Urging Motorist to be Mindful of School Zones and School Bus Stops

(Jefferson County) With some school districts gearing up for the first day of classes on campus in a few weeks, the Missouri State Highway Patrol is asking motorists to be mindful when it comes to school zones and school bus stops.

According to Corporal Juston Wheetley with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, it’s always good to give a friendly reminder to motorists about the start of the school year.

Corporal Wheeltey mentions school bus crashes were a problem last year.

Classes for a lot of local school districts begin the week of August 24th.
