Hillsboro Beats Pacific 48-35 and Advance to Class Four Semi Final Round
(PACIFIC)   The Hillsboro Hawks are in the semi-final round of the Class Four state playoffs following their 48-35 win at Pacific Friday night.  The Hawks were able to use four rushing touchdowns of 33, 11 13 and 34 yards by Payton Brown along with his 86 yard kick off return for a TD on the way to the win.  Also scoring for the Hawks was Chase Sucharski on a 34 yard pick six and Nick Marchetti kicked six extra points in the victory.
The Hawks jumped out to a 21-0 first quarter lead only to find themselves in a tie game 28-28 in the the third quarter.  Hawks head coach Bill Sucharksi says he cautioned the team about the Indians.

Sucharski says coaching during Thanksgiving week is a first for him.

According to Sucharski he might have to break-out the Blackstone and serve up some pancakes for his linemen.
Peyton Brown’s 86 yard kickoff return for a touchdown came right after the Indians tied the game at 28 appeice.  The return turned out to be our Festus Steak and Shake “Shake ’em Up” Play of the Game”

The (11-1) Hawks will now play the (11-1)Lutheran North Crusaders who beat Hannibal 70-61.  That game will be played Saturday the 25th at Hillsboro.
