Hillsboro Fire Chief on Firework Safety

(Hillsboro) This Sunday marks the start date where firework stands across Missouri can open and legally sell fireworks through the Independence Day holiday.

Hillsboro Fire Protection District Chief Brian Gaudet says they will be out and about checking on firework stands.

Personal safety must always be a top concern when dealing with fireworks.

Even with firework sales beginning this Sunday, local municipalities have certain set times and dates in which it’s allowed to set fireworks off.
