Hillsboro Fire Protection District Receives New Fire Truck

(Hillsboro) After waiting almost a year-and-a-half, the Hillsboro Fire Protection District’s new fire truck was delivered late last week.
Hillsboro fire Chief Brian Gaudet says it’s exciting to finally have a new pumper added to their fleet.
According to Chief Gaudet, it’ll be another couple of weeks before the fire truck is in operation.
The new fire truck cost the Hillsboro Fire protection District around $522,000.
The money to purchase the fire truck was made possible by the passage of a sales tax increase back in 2015.
