Hillsboro Girls Beat Farmington 68-57 for District Crown
(HILLSBORO)    The Hillsboro Lady Hawks were able to come back after two scoring runs by Farmington and post a 68-57 win over the Lady Knights Monday night for the Class 5 District 1 Championship.  Hillsboro led at halftime 31-25 and 48-40 at the end of three quarters.  The game was broadcast on 98.5FM KTJJ and mymoinfo.com.
Three Hillsboro players scored in double figures.  Kaylee Hilton had 21 points followed by Bailey Scallet with 15 and Kyra Madlock with 14.  Farmington had four players in double figures.  The Lady Knights were led by Madison Mapes who scored 14 points, Brynn Johnson had 13, Madison Mills netted 12 and Raylin Lacava tallied 11.
Hillsboro head coach Andrew Hubbard said getting behind 5-0 at the start of the game wasn’t what he had in mind.

Hubbard said there was plenty of credit to share.

According to Hubbard, John Burroughs will be a tough opponent.

Farmington head coach Rusty Sancegraw said he was proud of his team.

Hillsboro is now (26-2) and will play John Burroughs (25-3) on the Lady Bombers home court Friday night. Burrroughs defeated Cardinal Ritter Monday night 51-43.
