Hillsboro Homecoming and Festival this weekend

(Hillsboro) The 29th annual Hillsboro Homecoming and Festival begins tomorrow (Friday) night. Mandy Alley with the Greater Hillsboro Area Chamber of Commerce says there seems to be a lot of excitement to have the event this year after being canceled in 2020.

With all the community events canceled last year, Alley is well aware many of those that are planning events for later in the summer or fall might be taking a close look at their event to see how it’s set up.

The carnival opens up at 6 pm tomorrow (Friday) night, and armbands for the kids to ride the rides all night can purchase those at the Hillsboro Bank Star, First State Community Bank, and Enterprise Bank up until 4 tomorrow (Friday) afternoon. KJFF and J98 will broadcast from the Hillsboro Homecoming and Festival from 5 until 7. The festival continues all day Saturday.
