Hillsboro Homecoming Festival canceled

(Hillsboro) The Hillsboro Homecoming and Festival which was to take place next weekend has been canceled. The decision to cancel the event was actually made about a month ago. Mandy Alley with the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce says it’s just too soon to hold a large public event like that.

Alley says the Hillsboro Chamber could be facing some financial struggles.

Alley says they are looking at options of possible having a smaller event this fall to try to hold of their annual activities, but nothing has been decided.
