Hillsboro Hosts DeSoto for Large Schools Conference Baseball Battle Thursday

(HILLSBORO) Another Jefferson County Large Schools Conference baseball game hits the KJFF airwaves Thursday as the Hillsboro Hawks host the DeSoto Dragons.

DeSoto is coming off of a heartbreaking 10-9 loss to Festus on Tuesday, dropping them to 6-4 this season and 1-1 in the conference. The Dragons will be going up against Hillsboro’s top starter in Michael Brewer today and head coach Matt Buechting knows it’s going to be tough.

 
Hillsboro defeated the St. Louis Patriots 7-3 on Tuesday to improve to 5-3 this season. This will be the first conference game for the Hawks. Head coach Kevin Lucas will indeed throw out Brewer to start the game and says that he always gives them a fighting chance.

 
First pitch from Hillsboro between the Hawks and Dragons is scheduled for 4:30 with the Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show at 4:15 on AM 1400 KJFF.
