Hillsboro Intermediate Getting Award From POW-MIA Museum
(HILLSBORO)    Hillsboro Intermediate School will be presented the “Hawk Zero Two” award on their campus Thursday from the POW-MIA Museum at Jefferson Barracks.
Paul Dillon is the President of the museum, he says the award is to recognize the work of Intermediate Principal Scott Readnour, the faculty and students in becoming the first POW-MIA campus.

The award ceremony is being held on a special day as on this date (May 11) in 1972, Air Force pilot Lt. Michael Blassie of St. Louis was killed in action in Vietnam. According to Dillon, the award is named after Lt. Blassie’s call sign.

Dillon says members of Lt. Blassie’s family will be at the ceremony today (Thursday).

The Jefferson Barracks POW-MIA Museum at Jefferson Barracks is currently closed for renovations.  It is located at 16-18 Hancock Ave. in St. Louis.
