Hillsboro Joins The Cole’s Tractor & Equipment Football Roundtable

(Farmington) The Hillsboro Hawks football team have a record of 8-1, are the top seed in their district and ranked 6th in the state in Class 4. Coach Bill Sucharski and a few of his players joined the Cole’s Tractor and Equipment Football Roundtable Tuesday night to talk about their season.

The Hawks have six one-hundred yard rushers, four of them having over 570 yards. Senior Austin Romaine is third on the team with 695 yards, but he’s only played six games on the offensive side of the ball after hurting his hand midway through the season.

Senior lineman Alex Medina says he’s optimistic about what those guys can do with the ball when he’s blocking for them.

The seniors on the team have been playing football together for a long time. Jaxin Patterson says they always had a feeling about what the Hawks could do this season.

Hillsboro received a bye last Friday in the Class 4 District 1 tournament. The Hawks will host the 4th seeded Farmington Knights this Friday. You can listen to that game on AM-800 KREI.
