(Jefferson County) A man from Hillsboro is dead after a two vehicle accident early Friday morning in Jefferson County.
The Highway Patrol says the accident took place on Highway 61 at double ‘A’ Highway when a Ford Escape driven by a 16-year-old from Festus failed to stop at a stop sign and pulled into the path of of a Suzuki motorcycle driven by 40-year-old Stephen Fauller of Hillsboro, causing the bike to strike the side of the Escape.
Fauller was pronounced dead by E.M.S. personnel.
A passenger in the teen’s vehicle, 20-year-old Zachary Chambers of Ste. Genevieve, received minor injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City.
