Hillsboro Motorcyclist Killed after Two Vehicle Crash in Jefferson County

(Hillsboro) A man from Hillsboro died after a two vehicle accident Friday evening in Jefferson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident took place on double ‘M’ Highway, just east of Hillsboro/House Springs Road when 50-year-old James Hassler of Dittmer had a medical emergency while driving a Nissan Frontier eastbound on double ‘M’.

His vehicle crossed the center line and struck the front of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by 57-year-old Robert Duke of Hillsboro.

Duke was pronounced dead by the medical examiner.
