Hillsboro R-3 Superintendent on PROP KIDS falling at the polls

(Hillsboro) Voters in the Hillsboro School District turned down Proposition KIDS which was on the August Primary Election Ballot.

The measure was a no tax increase bond issue for $25-million to help fund safety improvements as well as general renovations throughout the district.

Superintendent Dr. Jon Isaacson says the bond issue failed by a small margin.

We asked Dr. Isaacson if the district plans on putting the proposition back on the ballot in November.

Proposition KIDS in the Hillsboro District failed to secure a 4/7 majority vote falling 2,756 yes votes compared to 2,108 no votes.
