Hillsboro Road District Bill Sponsored by Representative McGirl May Go Down to the Wire

(Jefferson County) State Representative Mike McGirl’s bill to help correct an issue regarding a special road district in Hillsboro advanced this week in the Missouri legislature.

The lawmaker from Potosi, who represents parts of Jefferson and Washington counties, tells us where this bill stands at the moment.

But with only a couple weeks to go in this year’s legislative session, we asked McGirl if there will be enough time to get the bill passed this year.

Instead of giving the Hillsboro Street Department 25-percent of the funds at a time, Representative McGirl says his bill would allow the department to have 100-percent of the funding all at one time.
